A few people have had problems either getting through the payment pages, or once they reach the PayPal site itself. This is frustrating for both of us, and I sincerely hope you’ll bear with me as I try to sort it out. Some notes:
- Some of the issues may be browser-related. I’ve noticed things go more smoothly when you’re using Google Chrome to shop on the site. If you’re using Chrome and there are still issues, it may be a problem with your firewall settings. I’ll continue to investigate this and post updates as I get more information.
- I use PayPal to process my payments because it’s easy to integrate into my site, I’ve been using it for over a decade for both buying and selling, and many shoppers are using it these days for secure payments without giving their credit card information on every site. They have excellent protection for both buyers and sellers. You DO NOT need to have a PayPal account to check out through the PayPal site. There is a link to check out with a credit card right when you are taken to the PayPal page.
- I have added a “pay by check” option for those who prefer it or are experiencing problems with the payment system. Please understand that this will add some time to how long it takes me to process your order.
- If all else fails, please CONTACT ME. I’ll be happy to give you my phone number where you can leave a secure voice mail message with your credit card information. Please understand that this is my personal mobile phone number, so I don’t want to list it publicly on my web site where spammers & scammers can access it.

Your order will be charged when it’s placed. The reason for this is twofold: First, more & more people are paying with prepaid debit/credit cards, and the window for completing those transactions is very limited. If I wait to process payments, many are declined and I end up chasing payments, which results in significant shipping delays. Second, I make most of my products fresh, to order, just for you. If I wait to collect payment until after I ship, I risk getting stuck with your custom-made products. Also, my shipping system is unable to print a shipping label until your payment has been confirmed. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact me.

You’ll notice that the hue of some of our products will darken or change color after you’ve had them a while. This is a normal change caused by certain fragrance oils (especially fragrance blends that contain vanilla). This is perfectly normal, and it does not mean there’s anything wrong with the product. We could add chemicals to our products to prevent this, but we believe less is more when it comes to chemicals & skin care, so we have chosen not to use them.

Your cost for shipping will depend on several factors, including the total weight of your order and the shipping method you choose. If you would like to calculate your shipping costs BEFORE you finalize your order, you can use the shopping cart to give you a shipping total.
Occasionally, my cart will calculate your shipping charges much higher than actual costs, depending on what you’re ordering. If your actual shipping costs are significantly lower than what you were charged, I will process a partial shipping refund.

I’d love to ship everywhere, but I need to be watchful of credit card fraud in high risk areas. I’m also unable to ensure delivery once a package leaves the US, so I can’t be responsible for replacing lost packages overseas. However, I am able to ship to select countries. You’re right, some companies do use them. But my research indicates they’re not always reliable or effective, and I prefer to be sure I’m selling as safe a product as possible. I hope to eventually find a reliable natural preservative that will work consistently in emulsion formulas. In the meantime, that’s one of the reasons I’m working to add more products to our web site that don’t require a preservative. (For example: After-Bath Body Oil Sprays and Solid Lotion Sticks)

Sometimes my perfumers discontinue certain fragrances and I have no choice but to discontinue it, unless I can find another perfumer that makes it. Also, if a particular fragrance isn’t selling well, I will sometimes discontinue it to make room for new fragrances. If you are looking for a fragrance that I have discontinued, I may be able to get it for you as a special order. Please contact me for details.
